Overview

A leading provider of Audio Visual (AV) solutions is seeking a highly skilled AV Field Service Engineer to join their expert team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge AV, VC, and IT integration technologies, providing exceptional technical support and service to high-profile clients across London predominantly, but there is the occasional need for travel to other parts of the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-site AV troubleshooting and technical support, covering London and occasional UK and European travel.

  • Handling AV/VC issues from diagnosis to resolution across a range of audio-visual systems.

  • Providing remote technical support via email, phone, video conferencing, and remote access tools.

  • Ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLA) for response times and issue resolution.

  • Staying up to date with AV technologies, including Crestron, Q-SYS, Logitech, Shure, Poly, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Dante Controller.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and documenting findings.

  • Conducting end-user training to ensure correct system usage.

  • Updating commissioning documents and AV/IT schedules.

  • Collaborating with sales and service contract teams to enhance client relationships and service offerings.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the service department.







Cross-Team Working

  • Working closely with AV design, commissioning, delivery, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service execution.

  • Efficiently using business management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics and Teams.

  • Supporting the administration and HR team in welfare, performance appraisals, and team-building efforts.







Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to AV system troubleshooting.

  • Passion for AV technology, with expertise in AV, VC, and IT system integration.

  • Ideally certified in some of Crestron, Q-SYS, Logitech, Shure, Poly, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Dante Controller
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills and ability to build long-term relationships.

  • High level of organisation with attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

  • Professional approach to customer service, with a focus on delivering the best possible AV solutions.

  • Strong adherence to health & safety protocols and industry best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team in high-pressure environments.

  • Full UK driving licence required.
