This is a hybrid role, requiring 2–3 days of on-site inspections weekly and a mandatory team day in the office every Thursday.The successful candidate will ideally have a trade background or be a member of the Institute of Clerks of Works. A practical approach, technical expertise, and strong reporting skills are essential.Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect materials and works on site for quality and contract compliance.
  • Attend weekly WIP and handover inspections to monitor progress and standards.
  • Provide detailed reports post-visit, including photographic evidence and key issues.
  • Investigate and resolve service complaints, delivering recommendations.
  • Liaise with contractors, attend meetings, and review applications for payment.
Requirments:
  • Experience in a Clerk of Works, site inspection, or building quality role.
  • Background in construction, trade, or property management.
  • Membership of the Institute of Clerks of Works (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, building regulations, and health & safety compliance.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.
  • Basic DBS check (essential).
