Are you a detail-driven payroll professional with a passion for precision? We're looking for a Payroll Officer to become a vital part of our finance team - acting as a strong number two to our Payroll Manager and helping ensure our people are paid accurately and on time, every time.

About the Role

As our new Payroll Officer, you'll support the end-to-end payroll process for our UK teams. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Payroll Manager with the processing of monthly payrolls
  • Maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist with pension contributions, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.), and year-end reporting (P60s, P11Ds)
  • Liaise with HR and Finance to ensure data integrity across systems
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation and HMRC updates
  • Contribute to process improvements and payroll system enhancements


What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a payroll role, ideally within a medium-to-large organisation
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and best practice
  • Comfortable working with payroll softwares
  • High attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills
  • A proactive team player with strong communication skills
  • Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience in the travel industry is a plus, but not essential
