Here at Blueprint Recruitment we have a new and exciting opportunity for a CDM Principal Designer that you don’t want to miss! The role on offer is for a permanent position, working on a hybrid basis, with three days a week working in office in London.

Our client is a growing international M&E consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering low-energy, high-performance design solutions, committed to excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

-Fulfil Principal Designer duties as outlined in the CDM Regulations 2015.

-Lead the planning, management, monitoring and coordination of health and safety in the pre-construction phase.

-Review design risk assessments and ensure risk mitigation is fully integrated into the design process.

-Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure CDM compliance.

-Prepare and issue relevant CDM documentation, including pre-construction information.

-Support the development and delivery of internal health and safety training.

-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, technical standards and best practice in construction safety.

Key Requirements:

-Extensive experience in a similar CDM-focused role, with a background in construction, engineering consultancy, or international consultancy preferred.

-Prior experience on data centres and/or large-scale infrastructure projects.

-Solid understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations and risk mitigation.

-Knowledge of MEP building services and UK H&S legislation (e.g. PUWER, COSHH, LOLER, BSA).

-Strong knowledge of construction site safety and H&S best practices.

-Familiar with British Standards and MS Office applications.

-Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

-NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
