Signature Recruitment is partnering with a leading London university to recruit an Immigration Compliance Officer.

This is a full-time, hybrid position (two days on campus per month) on a 4-week temporary contract.In this role, you’ll support the Immigration Advisory Service (IAS) team, helping to maintain the university’s sponsor licence and ensure compliance with UKVI requirements for international students and staff. You'll play a vital role in managing visa sponsorship reporting, ensuring records are accurate, and deadlines are met. This work is key to reducing risk and enabling the university to continue welcoming international talent. Working closely with a supportive team, you’ll contribute to both the operational effectiveness of the department and the overall staff and student experience.

Immigration Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage UKVI sponsorship reporting using the Sponsorship Management System (SMS), including changes like withdrawals or course completions
  • Support the Head of IAS in reporting non-attendance of international students in line with UKVI guidance
  • Ensure visa documentation is complete and securely recorded
  • Assist with CAS assessments during peak periods and respond to external queries (UKVI, Border Force) as needed
  • Contribute to ongoing review and improvement of internal compliance processes
  • Help prepare for Home Office audits and maintain accurate internal visa guidance resources

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience using the Sponsorship Management System (SMS) for UKVI reporting
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving ability
  • Background in Higher Education immigration or compliance teams
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team player
