An independent media arm of a leading energy-markets firm is launching a live broadcast channel covering oil and derivatives markets. They are building a credible, on‑air presence for professionals and serious retail investors. Launching initially through social channels, you will be involved in developing their coverage into a 24-hour broadcast service, including live coverage, evergreen content, and data-driven reporting.

We are looking for an experienced broadcaster who is looking to be at the heart of the story. You will have the opportunity to originate stories, shape formats and craft clear scripts. Producing and presenting short-form hits, regular interviews with senior market participants, and delivering bulletins on breaking news.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Originate/prioritise energy-markets stories; develop investigative leads from niche sources.
  • Build and maintain a guest pipeline; own booking and briefing.
  • Present live and recorded segments with pace, neutrality and a credible tone.
  • Lead interviews with traders, analysts, executives and policy voices.

Key requirements include:

  • Significant experience as a broadcast journalist, ideally with a background in business news.
  • Solid production skills: booking, formats, scripting and basic post.
  • Comfortable with scripted and unscripted on and off-air conversations.
  • Ability to translate technical topics into clear, non‑inducing questions and copy.

Everyone who replies will receive a response within one week.
