Job Description:
A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Greenwich is looking to appoint a Female SEN Learning Support Assistant to support students with autism, complex needs, and social-emotional challenges. This is a full-time role supporting a female student with personal care needs, so this position is open to female applicants only, in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is calm, caring, and passionate about supporting students with additional needs in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, including ASD and communication needs

Assist a female student with personal care and daily routines

Use communication tools such as PECs, Makaton, or visual timetables

Help deliver structured, engaging learning activities

Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and SEN support staff
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in education, care, or support settings)

Comfortable providing personal care (training can be provided)

Knowledge of autism, sensory processing, or communication strategies

Compassionate, patient, and adaptable personality

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
