Overview

A well-established global media and information services organisation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Product Manager to join its Sales Operations team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in product management within B2B environments, a strong technical foundation (particularly with Salesforce Sales Cloud), and a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, agile teams.

This role is pivotal to the success of several transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and performance of B2B go-to-market strategies. The selected candidate will lead cross-functional collaboration between sales operations, engineering, and business stakeholders, helping to drive timely, high-quality delivery of critical enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Backlog Ownership: Manage and prioritise the product backlog for Sales Operations-related Salesforce requests, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Project Execution: Oversee and support delivery of platform enhancements, managing progress, resolving blockers, and ensuring timely completion.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and maintain transparent, ongoing communication.

  • Prioritisation & Scoping: Use data and business value to determine priorities and define clear, actionable project scopes.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to mitigate delivery risks.

  • Quality Assurance: Work with engineering teams to ensure that delivered solutions are robust, timely, and aligned with stakeholder needs.

  • Agile Delivery: Leverage agile methodologies (e.g. sprints, user stories, iterative development) to manage product development and drive efficiency.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear, well-organised documentation of requirements, user stories, and progress updates.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in product management or a related role within a B2B sales or commercial environment.

  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Sales Operations and the associated technology stack, including CRM systems (particularly Salesforce).

  • Execution-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver a dynamic backlog of work with a focus on execution and outcomes.

  • Technical Acumen: Comfortable working closely with technical teams and understanding the architecture and capabilities of Salesforce Sales Cloud.

  • Business Analysis: Strong skills in requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, writing user stories, and translating business needs into technical deliverables.

  • Problem Solver: Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve complex issues, and keep teams on track toward shared goals.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.

  • Agile Practice: Familiarity with agile frameworks and working in iterative delivery cycles.
