Enthusiastic Media Studies Teacher Wanted in Westminster! Modern Secondary School

Location: Westminster Role: Media Studies Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging Media Studies lessons at Key Stage 4 and potentially A-Level.
• Inspire students to develop a critical understanding of media texts, industries, and audiences.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Media Studies curriculum.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Media Studies.
• Facilitate practical media production projects and encourage creative expression.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Media Studies, Film Studies, Communication Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Media Studies at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
• Strong subject knowledge of media theory, analysis, and production processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire creativity and critical thinking about media.
• A commitment to fostering media literacy and practical media production skills within a modern educational setting.
