Job Purpose:
As the Apparel Production Merchandiser, you will be at the forefront of the apparel production process post-order placement. Your mission? To ensure that everything runs smoothly, from the moment an order is placed until it arrives at the customer's doorstep. You'll be responsible for upholding quality standards, adhering to critical paths, and achieving on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Production Timelines: Manage the entire production timeline, ensuring all milestones align with the critical path.
  • Supplier Liaison: Communicate daily with suppliers and manufacturers to monitor production progress, resolve delays, and maintain schedules.
  • Quality Assurance: Keep a close eye on production quality, coordinating with QA teams to ensure all products meet specifications.
  • Timely Deliveries: Ensure all orders are delivered in full, on time, and to the right quality standards. Swiftly address any issues that arise.
  • Status Reporting: Maintain and update weekly delivery status reports, highlighting risks and proposing solutions.
  • Internal Communication: Provide timely updates to internal teams, escalating any production issues promptly.
  • Bottleneck Resolution: Anticipate and tackle production bottlenecks, material shortages, or capacity challenges with a proactive mindset.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure all production documentation is accurate and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.

Person Specification:
Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in apparel production or merchandising.
  • Strong understanding of the apparel manufacturing process.
  • Proven experience managing a critical path and working with offshore suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ethical sourcing and compliance standards.
  • Experience in a fast-paced fashion environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
