Senior Production Manager (scenic construction production)

£65,000 - £75,000 per annum

Permanent role

As the Senior Production Manager, you will be a key member of the Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of workshop operations, production timeline schedules and project delivery.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for workshop operations
  • Oversee all workshop operations including metal work, carpentry, scenic art, and general workshop activities
  • Create and maintain production standards and quality control processes
  • Develop and maintain production schedules and resource allocation plans predicting shortfalls
  • Monitor and control operational costs and budgets
  • Collaborate with Project Management Director to ensure aligned delivery approaches
  • Manage resource allocation across projects
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and challenges
  • Develop comprehensive skills matrices to identify talent gaps
  • Manage performance and development of all direct reports, implementing structured performance review processes focused on skills development

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a senior production or operations role
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Experience working within a production-focused organisation / industry sector (desirable)
  • Understanding of workshop processes and techniques
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning and business development skills
