We are urgently seeking a Facilities Management (FM) Engineer to provide cover for a 10-week period, primarily responsible for fabric management including fire door oversight. The role involves supporting the delivery of a fire door project, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards. The successful candidate will act as a covering FM, managing the fabric of the building with a strong focus on fire door management. This position requires a practical and technical understanding of fabric maintenance and fire safety regulations. The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility offered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the covering FM with responsibility for fabric maintenance, including fire doors.
Support the delivery and management of the fire door project over 12 weeks.
Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs related to building fabric and fire doors.
Ensure compliance with fire safety standards and technical requirements.
Demonstrate practical skills and technical knowledge in fabric and fire door management.
Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fire door management and fabric maintenance.
Skills:
Proven experience in fabric management within FM.
Demonstrable expertise in fire door management.
Experience working on fire door or similar fabric-related projects.
Strong practical skills combined with technical understanding of fire safety requirements.
Ability to manage and deliver projects within tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Attention to detail and compliance-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet project demands.

Software/Tools:
Common CAFM systems (desirable)
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Certifications & Standards:
Relevant fire safety and fabric management qualifications (desirable)
Knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and standards (essential)
