Description

Develop and implement proactive media strategies to raise public awareness.Respond swiftly and sensitively to media enquiries and critical news stories.Write and edit press releases, articles, and statements for various audiences.Provide strategic communications advice to senior leadership.Manage relationships with journalists, bloggers, and opinion-formers.Contribute editorially to the organisation's magazine.Coordinate with digital and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging.Support regional teams with media promotion and communications.Participate in a 24/7 media rota, including weekends and holidays.Monitor and evaluate media coverage, producing regular reports.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with strong writing skills, a sharp news sense, and experience in media relations or journalism. They'll be proactive, resilient under pressure, and capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering clear, strategic messaging across various platforms.
