Role Overview:
The Technical Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Transfer Agency department, ensuring robust oversight of operational processes including registration, dealing, settlements, and distributions. This position is pivotal in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting the growth of the oversight model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion the oversight model and actively contribute to the success of the oversight team in London.
- Collaborate with internal departments and engage in group projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct annual due diligence and service level reviews, ensuring oversight of offshore processing locations.
- Identify training needs for personal development and support team members in their training.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of processes and controls within the Transfer Agency and propose enhancements.
- Build strong relationships with compliance, audit functions, and both onshore and offshore teams.
- Compile and produce management information (MI) reflecting the outcomes of oversight sampling, adapting as necessary based on findings.
- Maintain accurate records to document the oversight methodology and sample selection.
- Execute regular oversight review checks, ensuring controls are effectively preventing errors.
- Identify trends from team activities and implement preventative actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., AML and CASS) and internal policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of operational processes in registration, dealing, settlements, and distributions.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for developing insightful MI and team trackers.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with UK Transfer Agency functions and CASS regulations.
- Knowledge of the FCA and HMRC regulatory environments is highly desirable.
- Experience in OEIC/ISA/ACS/PAIF administration is a plus.
- Background in audit or assurance will be advantageous.
- Exceptional organisational skills to support due diligence methodologies.
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues efficiently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to address inquiries effectively.
- Customer service experience is essential.
