A large residential construction contractor based in Central London is looking foran additional Buyer to join their purchasing team.
Daily Duties
- The procurement of construction materials for high end residential developments
- Working with site teams to ensure that their deadlines are met
- Building on new and existing relationships with builders merchants and construction specific suppliers
- Record management via a purchase order system
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant experience in working for a similar contractor in the residential market is preferred
- Experience of working within alternative construction contractors could also be considered as advantageous
- Proficiency in purchase order management system is essential
- Competency in all standard MS packages
- Negotiation and rapport building skills are required
- To be able to work as a part of a high performing purchasing team
