Graduate Planner

Location: London

Penguin Recruitment is excited to be supporting a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for a Graduate Planner to join their London team. You'll be part of a business known for delivering high quality residential, infrastructure, and environmental projects, with strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation.

The Role

As a Graduate Planner, you'll assist with the full planning process, from early research and site appraisals through to submissions and client liaison. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to prepare planning applications, supporting statements, and related documentation

  • Conducting policy and site research

  • Assisting with local authority engagement and stakeholder consultations

  • Monitoring and interpreting planning policy changes

  • Working under the direction of senior planners to deliver quality outcomes



About You

You are someone who:

  • Has a degree (or master's) in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI-accredited preferred)

  • Has up to 1 year's relevant planning experience (could be via internship or post-graduate work)

  • Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated, organised, and keen to learn
