A dynamic and rapidly growing design studio, known for its luxury interior and architectural projects across the UK and globally, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its London-based team. Since launching in 2014, the studio has built a reputation for excellence and innovation, growing to over 30 team members. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to oversee daily financial operations and support the Finance Director, while working closely with all departments across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Oversee timely client invoicing, payment tracking, and cash flow monitoring
  • Liaise with project managers to align invoice schedules with client programmes
  • Reconcile financial records including bank transactions, FF&E accounts, and supplier statements
  • Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements
  • Prepare financial reports, VAT submissions, and assist with month-end accounts
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal financial controls
  • Assist with audits, financial systems development, and insurance management
  • Contribute to operational processes including HR support, team timekeeping, onboarding, and recruitment coordination
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in a finance manager or senior finance support role
  • Proficient user of Xero (essential) and MS Office
  • Strong understanding of core business functions such as finance, HR, and operations
  • Knowledge of financial controls, payroll processing, and VAT compliance
  • Confident in financial reporting, analysis, and presenting insights to senior management
  • Ability to review and interpret project-related legal and financial documents (desirable)
