Operating out of expansive offices within the historic Central Saint Martin's college (less than 10 minutes-walk from Kings Cross Station), this is a vibrant and modern team environment, with an expectation that colleagues comeinto the office 50% of their time. (Core days tend to be Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Responsible Procurement Lead will have a home in Procurement and will also work as part of a cross-institutional team, led by the Social Purpose Group, that will support and deliver UAL's ambitious plans for Net Zero. You'll have all procurement sustainability initiatives and workstreams channelled through you, and we're looking for someone who is deeply passionate about sustainability and can work effectively with a diverse stakeholder group, championing engagement and supporting a culture of best practice principles.

About you

  • A proven influencer who naturally builds rapport and is comfortable developing strong relationships internally and externally with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • A self-starter who is highly motivated and committed to delivering results with high precision and accuracy.
  • Technology competent and familiar using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software with a focus on sustainability metrics and reporting.
  • Experience contributing to and participating in engagement activities, including workshops, event series, conferences, and festivals, to promote and share net zero and Social Purpose initiatives.
  • You'll ideally be CIPS qualified or working towards qualification.
