Urgent - 12 Month FTC - JUNE 2025 STARTCost Optimisation Director / Consultant Our client, a renowned and established outsourced technology solutions provider (rev c. £1bn), is looking to bring in a Cost Optimisation Director to lead, end to end, the scoping, implementation and delivery of a cost optimisation programme that will deliver tangible business benefits and reductions of cost base in 2026. This individual will be analysing central costs within the outsourced solutions provider, seeking out duplication of departments, expenses and procurement, before project managing the implementation of changes to remove these cost inefficiencies and wastage.
This dedicated cost optimisation consultant, will report into the Group CEO and be independent from the organisation, ambitious and ruthless in their recommendations to reduce the overall cost base. Conclusions outside of removing duplication across the aforementioned areas may also include more automation or investment in systems to remove manual processes. These changes need to be implemented this year in 2025 in order to have a positive impact in the 2026 cost reduction picture. This person will likely come from a finance and accountancy background with experience of leading cost optimisation strategies and programmes across technology and professional services organisations. It is imperative that this person is able to both recommend changes, design the model to achieve the change and then also drive through to implementation of the changes. They will be less focused on complex org design and more orientated toward 'quick wins', and shorter to medium term changes that can be implemented to see results in 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to come into a growing, evolving outsourced technology solutions business and have significant impact with significant autonomy in terms of determining strategy. My client will move extremely quickly to secure the right person.
I am looking for the following skills / experience: -Immediately available or 1 month notice.-Experience of cost accountancy or finance cost analysis background, likely qualified accountant.-End to end experience of delivering and consulting on large cost reduction / cost optimisation programmes from recommendations, to design of model, through to implementation of changes.-Experience of delivering cost optimisation and cost reduction programmes / strategies across technology and/or professional services organisations. -Track record of coming into an organisation and delivering cost reductions and cost optimisation strategies quickly to reduce overall cost base.-Likely experience of partnering with C-suite including CEO to lead on these cost optimisation initiatives. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. This is an urgent requirement and my client is looking for the successful individual to start ideally in June 2025. Therefore we can only consider those immediately available or on a 1 month notice maximum.
