Estimator - Groundworks & RC Frame
Location: Central London
Salary: 55,000 - 75,000 + Pension, Life Assurance, and Competitive Annual Leave
Fawkes & Reece is working in partnership with a long-established subcontractor to recruit a skilled Estimator to join their growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in pricing a steady pipeline of projects across Central London.

With over 30 years of industry experience, our client is a respected name in the Groundworks and RC Frame sector, delivering complex infrastructure, earthworks, and substructure packages for leading residential developers. The company will look at Quantity Surveyors looking to make a move into Estimating so is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their knowledge!
Role Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, you'll be central to the tendering process and the financial planning of upcoming projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates for groundworks and RC frame packages
- Reviewing drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and risks
- Working closely with the Pre-Construction and Commercial teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
- Assisting with tender submissions and attending client meetings where necessary
Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience in estimating within construction, ideally in Groundworks or RC Frame OR 3-5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the same industry.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
