Your new company:
Our client is a dynamic and growing construction and development business, specialising in residential refurbishment and high-value housing conversions. Known for delivering complex projects with a focus on quality, innovation, and compliance, the company operates on high-profile schemes in Central London and the surrounding areas.

Your new role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major refurbishment and housing conversion project valued at 18 million in Central London. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a landmark project, taking ownership of the commercial management of the scheme from inception through to completion, ensuring budgets, costs, and risks are controlled and optimised.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.

  • Managing tendering processes, procurement, and subcontractor packages.

  • Conducting value engineering exercises to maximise project profitability.

  • Measuring, preparing, and agreeing interim valuations, final accounts, and variations.

  • Liaising with design teams, clients, and contractors to resolve commercial and contractual issues.

  • Monitoring project costs and advising management on commercial implications.

  • Managing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Reporting on project performance to senior management.

  • Supporting change management and dispute resolution processes as required.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential refurbishment or conversion projects.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts.

  • Experience managing large-scale projects (15m+ preferred).

  • Excellent commercial acumen and cost management skills.

  • Strong IT skills, including MS Excel, CostX, or similar software.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS or equivalent).
