QS/Estimator

  • Up to 65K depending on experience

  • Estimating/QS responsibilities day to day including pricing tenders, applications, Purchase Orders and contract negotiations, Final Accounting etc

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential cost implications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to provide financial insights and advice.
  • Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors to ensure value for money.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
  • Implement cost control measures and report on variances against budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of final accounts and settlement of disputes.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
