Quantity Surveyor for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in The UK

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of package budget and cost controlling (quantity surveying) and fulfilling all documentation for the cost-plus scope. Processing contractor payments accordingly.
* SAP operations when needed for cost control.
* Proactive contract management to ensure a full alignment of the project team to meet the given
contractual obligations of both parties as well as on the commercial alignment of work progress with the defined project budget.
* Advice package and manage variation requests and/or notices from a contractor
* Ensures that contractual variations and changes or claims with regard to the scope of delivery and services, prices, timeline or other contractual agreements are enforced and up-to-date.
* Monitors and reports contract performance to the project. Drafts claim related
correspondence, e.g. instructions, determinations, notices, variation orders and employer's claims.
* Advice with early and holistic preparation and documentation of dispute readiness documentation.
* Advice on commercial/ contractual issues and liaise with respective stakeholders.
* Providing feedback for the continuous improvement process for the Contract Standard.
* Reports on a regular basis to N-3 Contract Management and Project SPOC on progress and performance.

Requirements

  • RICS certification is mandatory
  • Degree qualified in a commercial subject, engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in quantity surveying and contract management, preferably in the offshore wind industry or similar energy projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract change management & claim management in FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC based contracts.
