Operating across both CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects, the company manages schemes valued up to £25 million, offering clients a seamless approach that combines creative design with technical delivery excellence.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their London-based commercial team, working on fast-track commercial fit-out schemes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, protecting commercial margins, and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring financial performance and contractual compliance throughout each project.

This is a part-time freelance position (2–3 days per week) running until the end of 2026.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of fit-out projects from inception to final account
  • Prepare, manage, and agree interim valuations and final accounts
  • Administer and interpret JCT contracts effectively
  • Lead on procurement and tendering of subcontract packages
  • Assess and certify subcontractor applications and variations
  • Provide accurate cost forecasting and cash flow management
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage commercial risks and opportunities
  • Work closely with the project delivery team to ensure smooth progress and cost efficiency
  • Maintain strong, professional client relationships and represent the business in a client-facing capacity
