Estate Manager - IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE CANDIDATES ONLY
Salary: £65,000 (Temporary to Permanent)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Vauxhall, SE1
Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a luxury residential development, on a Temp to Perm basis.
This is a hands-on, hybrid role combining building management and front-of-house responsibilities. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the site, maintaining high standards of maintenance, safety, and resident experience. Working closely with the Property Manager and under the guidance of the Residential Management Committee Directors, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
Building Management
- Oversee the daily running of the building, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers for repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
- Conduct regular inspections of communal areas, plant rooms, and external spaces.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance issues, inspections, and completed works.
- Act promptly in emergencies and liaise with relevant services as required.
- Supervise concierge and temporary staff, including rotas, training, and appraisals.
Resident Services
- Manage resident queries, parcel deliveries, amenity bookings, and access control.
- Support resident move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
- Keep resident contact lists up to date and issue building communications when required.
Administration & Coordination
- Report regularly to the Property Manager on building performance, resident issues, and ongoing projects.
- Assist in preparing reports, maintenance schedules, and communications.
- Attend committee meetings as required.
- Ensure all documentation, policies, and compliance records are accurate and up to date.
Person Specification
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a similar role (Building Manager, Duty Manager, Concierge Manager, Facilities Manager, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance, and contractor management.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems.
- Additional training or certifications such as First Aid, Fire Warden, or SIA licence are advantageous.
