About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team at our high-end restaurant in South West London. This role is ideal for someone passionate about exceptional service, refined hospitality, and operational excellence in a premium dining environment.

As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless daily operations, lead and inspire front-of-house staff, and help maintain the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in the daily running of the restaurant

  • Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house team members

  • Ensure smooth and professional service during all shifts

  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with discretion and care

  • Oversee reservations and floor planning for efficient service flow

  • Assist with staff scheduling, time management, and shift planning

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance

  • Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive front- and back-of-house operation

  • Uphold health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a premium or fine dining restaurant

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences

  • Professional appearance and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

  • Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and modern dining trends is highly desirable

  • Food Safety and/or Alcohol Service certification is a plus
