An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an outstanding candidate to join The Athenaeum Club, a Private Members Club
Assisting the Coffee Room Manager in the smooth day to day running of the Coffee Room and Morning Room. Fully in charge of the Coffee Room during the manager's absence.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure floor is set for lunch, dinner and breakfast service cutlery, tables and chairs straightened.
Ensure waiting staff are fully competent in all aspects of their role, recognising & managing performance as appropriate
Ensure that members have been reviewed for service and an accurate floor plan is completed.
Ensure staff are trained on menu knowledge, mis en place and the weekly menu options.
Train and lead new staff.
Be a role model for all staff across the club ensuring professionalism and that the members are made to feel welcome.
Accurately record changes to hours and leave to ensure pay is correct for line reports.
Secondary Duties
To assist the Coffee Room Manager with the control of silverware and glassware and report losses or damage to the Coffee Room Manager.
Understand and be confident in all aspects of Jonas programming where needed.
Menu preparation.
If needed to participate in service in other areas of the club as directed.
To attend training sessions, either on or off the premises, as directed by the Restaurant or Training Managers.
To assist members and their guests in any way that is reasonable.
To be familiar with, and practice, good personal and food hygiene procedures.
To be familiar with the current club fire regulations.
Any other duty as may be reasonably requested, by a member of Club management, from time to time.

- Highly organized, with excellent planning and logistical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for hospitality.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and occasional weekends.
