We are now looking for a Bar Manager with star quality someone with proven leadership, an exceptional palate, and a double shot of enthusiasm to lead our bar team and deliver unforgettable guest moments.
What Youll Be Doing
As Bar Manager, youll take centre stage in shaping the bar experience at The Welbeck. Your mission: deliver outstanding service, drive innovation, and lead a high-performing team in a vibrant, elegant setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring seamless and stylish service at all times.
- Create and cost cocktail and beverage menus that reflect current trends while hitting key profitability targets.
- Train, mentor, and inspire your team to consistently deliver warm, attentive service.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and par systems with accuracy and control.
- Handle cellar management, including line cleaning and upkeep of cask ales.
- Ensure full compliance with Licensing Act 2003 and maintain your Personal Licence.
- Prepare team rotas, complete stocktakes, manage budgets, and oversee team recruitment and appraisals.
- Collaborate with the wider F&B and marketing teams to launch seasonal and tactical promotions.
- Champion guest feedback and drive service enhancements based on guest insight.
What Were Looking For
Were looking for someone who brings energy, expertise, and a passion for hospitality. Youll be confident under pressure, creative behind the bar, and meticulous with the details.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within a high-end or boutique environment.
- In-depth knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, cask ales, and cellar management.
- A flair for creating signature drink experiences and leading a team with charisma and confidence.
- Up-to-date knowledge of bar industry trends and techniques.
- A Personal Licence and understanding of the Licensing Act 2003.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- A proactive, guest-focused mindset with the ability to problem-solve and innovate.
