Restaurant General Manager wanted by successful, multi faceted Restaurant / Bar/ Deli in Central London
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of this successful restaurant/ bar / Deli situated in one of the busiest areas in Central London.
My Client is looking for a manager who has the experience to take this venue to the next level
You will be involved in overseeing the kitchen, helping to keep the menu updated and on-point.
Obviously you will be ensuring the highest levels of customer service, coordinating the flow of customers between the three areas of the business.
In addition, the restaurant runs regular corporate events and experience of this and the ability to build on the events side will be a must.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a keen understanding of food safety, food preparation, and culinary practices to ensure a high-quality experience for our patrons. The Restaurant General Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while supervising staff and maintaining operational efficiency.
Duties
- Supervise and manage staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee the ordering, preparation and presentation of food, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
- Develop and implement training programmes for new staff on operations and customer service techniques.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage the business, ensuring adequate returns for themselves and my Client.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff alike.
- Proven P+L experience and financial acumen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for the hospitality industry, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
