Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Crewe, Cranham Court (Hybrid working available – minimum 2 days in the office once fully trained)
Salary: £26,000 – £27,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process sales ledger invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
- Monitor outstanding debt and perform credit control activities as required
- Provide supporting documentation for customer invoicing
- Respond to customer queries in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare sales accrued income reports for monthly deadlines
- Generate and analyse sales ledger KPIs to support financial performance
- Perform monthly reconciliations (e.g., Fuel, Sales Analysis)
- Complete annual RDCO (Registered Dealer in Controlled Oils) statutory returns
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts as required
- Ensure compliance with Arriva’s internal control procedures
- Carry out additional ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications and Requirements
- Good general standard of education (Essential)
- AAT qualified or working towards AAT (Essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Essential)
- Experience with accounting software SAP B1 knowledge is advantageous (Desirable)
- Full and valid UK driving licence (Desirable)
Experience and Knowledge
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance environment (Essential)
- Familiarity with SAP B1 or similar accounting systems (Desirable)
