Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Crewe, Cranham Court (Hybrid working available – minimum 2 days in the office once fully trained)
Salary: £26,000 – £27,000 per annum
Department: Finance


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process sales ledger invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor outstanding debt and perform credit control activities as required
  • Provide supporting documentation for customer invoicing
  • Respond to customer queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Prepare sales accrued income reports for monthly deadlines
  • Generate and analyse sales ledger KPIs to support financial performance
  • Perform monthly reconciliations (e.g., Fuel, Sales Analysis)
  • Complete annual RDCO (Registered Dealer in Controlled Oils) statutory returns
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts as required
  • Ensure compliance with Arriva’s internal control procedures
  • Carry out additional ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Good general standard of education (Essential)
  • AAT qualified or working towards AAT (Essential)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Essential)
  • Experience with accounting software SAP B1 knowledge is advantageous (Desirable)
  • Full and valid UK driving licence (Desirable)
