We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a dynamic and creative engineering practice based in central London. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, working alongside a motivated finance team supporting internationally recognised design projects.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and issue sales invoices
- Manage credit control and follow-up on outstanding payments
- Maintain and reconcile bank transactions and bank accounts
- Upload and log staff expenses and purchase invoices
- Reconcile company credit card statements
- Assist with maintaining the project management system
- Process and log cheques received
- Adhere to financial policies and procedures
- Support the team with answering calls and handling general queries
- Assist with ad hoc tasks as required in a client-focused, evolving environment
- Recent experience in a finance team or accounting practice (experience within the construction industry is desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential)
- Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting systems (desirable)
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational and workload management skills
