We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a dynamic and creative engineering practice based in central London. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, working alongside a motivated finance team supporting internationally recognised design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and issue sales invoices
  • Manage credit control and follow-up on outstanding payments
  • Maintain and reconcile bank transactions and bank accounts
  • Upload and log staff expenses and purchase invoices
  • Reconcile company credit card statements
  • Assist with maintaining the project management system
  • Process and log cheques received
  • Adhere to financial policies and procedures
  • Support the team with answering calls and handling general queries
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks as required in a client-focused, evolving environment
Skills and Experience
  • Recent experience in a finance team or accounting practice (experience within the construction industry is desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting systems (desirable)
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organisational and workload management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
