Reed Accountancy are partnering with a well-established UK based cybersecurity business to recruit a bright and ambitious Finance Assistant into their small finance team.

The role
Reporting to the Finance Director and working alongside a Finance Analyst, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of transactional finance duties as well as providing essential support to the FD at month end and year end.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of financial operations within a dynamic SME environment.
As well as supporting day-to-day financial operations, this role includes a strong focus on data accuracy, analysis, and reporting. You will help ensure the integrity of data across the company’s systems, support internal reporting, and contribute to process improvements.
Key responsibilities
Manage the Accounts Payable function, including entering supplier bills and reconciling statements.
Manage and process employee expenses, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
Prepare weekly payment schedules and input bank payments accurately.
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts.
Reconcile finance accounts, bank accounts, and company credit cards in 3 different currencies.
Monitor aged debtors and chase outstanding payments to reduce debtor days.
Raise purchase orders and place orders with third-party suppliers as required.
Input, cleanse, and manage financial and operational data in cloud-based systems QuickBooks and Salesforce.
Export and analyse data from multiple systems, identifying trends and ensuring data consistency.
Create reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards for presentation to non-finance stakeholders.
