English Teacher: Hammersmith's Literary Landscape

Are you an English Teacher who loves stories, poems, and helping young people express themselves clearly? Our excellent school in Hammersmith is looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team. This is a chance for an English Teacher to really make a difference, guiding students through amazing books and helping them write well, from Year 7 all the way to A-Level English. • Location: Hammersmith
• Role: English Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)
• Start Date: September (or sooner if possible)
• Salary: Excellent, with potential for extra pay for leadership (TLR).

What You'll Do as Our English Teacher:

• Teach fun and engaging English lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 13.
• Help students understand different types of English literature and how to write well.
• Encourage lively discussions about books and ideas in English class.
• Prepare students for their GCSE and A-Level English exams.
• Work closely with other English Teachers to make our department even better.
• Support students to develop a lifelong love for English language and literature.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities related to English.
• Be a positive and supportive English Teacher in the school community.

What We're Looking For:

• You must be a qualified English Teacher (with QTS) and have a degree in English.
• Experience teaching English to secondary school students, including GCSE and A-Level.
• An English Teacher who is creative and passionate about English language and literature.
• Someone who can manage a classroom well and make English lessons enjoyable for everyone.
• A team player eager to contribute to our English department.
• A committed English Teacher who wants to see students succeed.
