English Teacher

Are you an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher passionate about literature and language? We're seeking a temporary, part-time English Teacher to join our well-regarded Independent girls' school in Haringey, starting as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to cultivate a deep love for literature and language in bright young women across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) in North London.

What you'll be doing:

• You'll be designing and delivering engaging English lessons that explore a rich variety of literary texts and develop students' understanding of language in all its forms.
• It's about fostering a stimulating and inclusive classroom where every student feels empowered to express themselves creatively and explore the power of words.
• You'll inspire students to develop their critical thinking, analytical skills, and a genuine appreciation for the nuances of the English language.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in English Language and Literature.
• Some experience teaching engaging and effective English lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
• A deep and current understanding of English literature and language, plus that ability to truly bring the subject to life for girls.
• Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a knack for fostering a love of reading and writing.
