A welcoming primary school in Greenwich is seeking a Level 4 qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team and support pupils across the school. This is a full-time role starting in January 2026

The Role

As an HLTA, you will work across Year 1 to Year 6, providing class cover to release teachers for PPA time. You will be given lesson plans and activities to follow, ensuring continuity of learning while leading the class.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Delivering small group interventions

  • Covering classes in the absence of the teacher

  • Supporting pupils at different learning levels with a positive, engaging approach

  • Working closely with teachers and support staff across the school

Requirements
  • HLTA qualification (Level 4)

  • Previous experience working in primary schools

  • Confident classroom presence with the ability to engage learners
