Overview of the role:

To deliver outstanding services to residents living in council owned/managed properties and embed a culture of a resident first approach. In more specific terms:

To take effective actions to address Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), improve the overall quality of life for Council residents and build safer communities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To take ownership of and investigate all allocated ASB cases and be the single point of contact for those involved, ensuring all actions used to abate ASB are effective and have measurable outcomes.
  • To support reporters and perpetrators and take prompt enforcement or preventative action and work with agencies and partners when relevant.
  • To ensure all cases referred to legal have sufficient evidence for Court and demonstrate adherence to current legislation. To support witnesses and give evidence on behalf of the Council.
  • To ensure safeguarding issues are addressed as part of a multi-agency approach, working together to remove residents from immediate risk and inform a long-term action plan in order to provide a permanent solution for all residents affected.
  • To contribute to the development of estate action plans/design out crime surveys in order to resolve nuisance, environmental crime and ASB on estates.
  • To support the ASB manager and Head of Neighbourhood Management in delivering the ASB communications strategy, raising awareness amongst colleagues, residents and key partners.
  • To work with the ASB Manager to develop initiatives to reduce and prevent ASB, to tailor initiatives based on estates profiles and key issues with the aim of increasing resident satisfaction on ASB case handling.
  • To attend relevant meetings when requested by ASB Manager or one of the Senior Management Team.
