We are now seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Services Manager to lead our frontline housing teams and deliver high-quality services to our residents.

The RoleAs Neighbourhood Services Manager, you will oversee the delivery of neighbourhood housing services across a defined locality. You will manage and support a team of Neighbourhood Housing Officers to ensure estates are well-maintained, residents are supported, and tenancy and estate management services are delivered in line with our values and strategic objectives.

You will foster a relational approach to service delivery-embedding a culture of respect, collaboration, and responsiveness. You will work closely with residents, other departments, elected members, and external stakeholders to resolve issues and drive service improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a geographically dispersed team delivering neighbourhood housing services.

  • Inspire and support your team to achieve high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Use customer insight, data, and feedback to inform service design and delivery.

  • Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across all housing tenures.

  • Manage risk and escalate safeguarding concerns where vulnerable residents are identified.

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as income, repairs, allocations, and legal services.

  • Represent Camden at community meetings, external forums, and with partner agencies.

  • Monitor expenditure, contribute to budget management, and identify opportunities for efficiency.

  • Maintain compliance with Camden's financial, health and safety, and equality standards.

About YouWe are looking for a confident and proactive leader with a passion for housing and community empowerment. You will bring:

  • Demonstrable experience managing housing services or a related frontline team.

  • Strong understanding of tenancy and estate management, including safeguarding and resident engagement.

  • A track record of building relationships with residents, community groups, and stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and conflict resolution skills.

  • A commitment to Camden's values, especially equality, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.

  • The ability to use digital systems and data effectively to inform decision-making.

  • The capacity to lead through change, challenge underperformance, and deliver continuous improvement.

People Management ResponsibilitiesYou will report to the Neighbourhood Operations Manager and directly manage a team of up to 8 officers.

Additional Information

  • Travel within the borough is required.

  • Participation in the out-of-hours Emergency Telephone Service rota is expected.
