The Role:
As an Adult Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading on complex safeguarding enquiries, working in line with the Care Act (2014) and local policies and procedures.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of risk and need, developing person-centred support plans.
- Working collaboratively with adults, their families, and a wide range of professionals from health, police, and other agencies.
- Empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their lives and promoting their independence.
- Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings, including strategy discussions and safeguarding adult reviews.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on safeguarding matters to colleagues and partner agencies.
About You:
We are looking for an Adult Social Worker who is:
- Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, BA Hons Social Work, or equivalent) with current SWE registration.
- Demonstrable experience of working within adult social care, with a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practice.
- Knowledgeable of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and local safeguarding adults' board procedures.
- Skilled in undertaking complex risk assessments and managing challenging situations.
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing a diverse caseload effectively.
- Committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
