A London Council is recruiting an Interim Environmental Health Team Leader to oversee its noise, nuisance and pollution service. The role leads a team of EHOs and technical officers delivering statutory nuisance investigations, enforcement, permits, construction noise control, complaint handling and wider environmental protection functions including pest control and pollution-related casework.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop EHOs and technical officers

  • Oversee complex and high-risk noise and nuisance investigations

  • Ensure quality, performance, compliance and professional standards

  • Drive service improvement and operational efficiency

  • Provide senior technical expertise on noise, nuisance and pollution
