We are looking for a learning behaviour mentor to join the KS3 team at an alternative provision school in Lambeth This fantastic school provides a therapy based approach to ensuring students are able to learn and socialise effectively. This school comprises of pupils that have an EHCP facing SEMH, ASD, ACES and SEND difficulties. The Learning Behaviour Mentor Job

An Alternative Provision Centre in Lambeth are looking for a Learning Behaviour Mentor to start as soon as possible. This is a long term, full time position and will run for the remainder of the academic year. You will be working with young people across KS3 (years 7-9).

The Learning Behaviour Mentor Skills

This Alternative Provision or PRU school are looking for a passionate and experienced Learning Behaviour Mentor who has a good understanding of young people's needs. You will be working in the secondary team supporting pupils on a 1:1 or classroom basis with their motivation and learning. You will have the opportunity to assist these students in activities that will further their independence and help them reintegrate back into mainstream school.

The Learning Behaviour Mentor Applicant:

  • Strong behaviour management
  • Experience being a Learning Behaviour Mentor is desirable but not essential
  • Have a passion for teaching students who struggle with mainstream school
  • Experience teaching within an alternative provisions environment or a secondary school environment
  • A patient, calm and engaging classroom manner.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application.
