About the Role
We are looking for a committed Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth. This full-time role involves supporting primary-aged children with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN), including pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication needs, and social-emotional challenges.
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work both 1:1 and within small groups, helping children access learning, regulate emotions, and develop key skills. Experience working with children is essential, and SEN or ASD experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to pupils with complex SEN and ASD
Assist with learning activities and behaviour regulation
Implement personalised strategies under teacher and SENCo guidance
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Maintain a calm, patient and nurturing approach
Contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom environment
What We're Looking For
A graduate who can commit to a full-time position
Someone confident, resilient, and passionate about SEN
Experience working with children (essential)
Previous SEN or ASD experience (preferred)
