Are you a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or SEN specialist seeking a meaningful new opportunity this September?

We're currently recruiting for a full-time HLTA to join a friendly and inclusive special needs school in Hillingdon, starting in September 2025. This is a wonderful chance to become part of a well-equipped, all-through school that values student progress, staff development, and a supportive learning environment.

Role Overview:In this position, you'll be leading both classroom sessions and targeted intervention groups across various age ranges, supported by a team of 5-6 committed Teaching Assistants. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you'll help deliver an engaging and adapted curriculum designed to suit each pupil's unique learning profile.

Main Duties:

  • Lead whole-class teaching and small-group learning sessions

  • Support students' social, emotional, physical, and communication skills

  • Collaborate with therapists and other external professionals

  • Help pupils gain independence and prepare for life beyond school

What We're Looking For:

  • HLTA qualification or relevant experience in SEN or primary education

  • Solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum

  • Experience supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs
