The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will ideally have:

  • Previous Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Insight into specialist interventions and strategies, including Makaton.
  • Knowledge of sensory integration and therapeutic support strategies.
  • A passion for supporting students with complex needs in education and training settings.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff
  • Have a valid DBS or be willing to obtain one
  • Have a relevent degree e.g Psychology
