SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Specialist Provision (All-Through School)

Location: Hackney, East London

Start date: January 2026

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Pay: 95-115 per day (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a specialist autism provision within an all-through school in Hackney. This is a full-time, long-term role starting January 2026, supporting autistic pupils from EYFS through to Post-16.

You'll be working in small, structured classes, helping pupils to access learning, develop independence and regulate their emotions throughout the school day.

The role:

  • Full-time, long-term TA role in a specialist autism setting
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups across different key stages
  • Following EHCP targets and individual learning plans
  • Using visual supports, clear routines and structured activities
  • Supporting emotional regulation, communication and sensory needs
  • Assisting with personal care and life-skills where required
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and wider support staff

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with autism/ASC or other SEND

(school, residential care, youth work, play schemes or similar)

  • Is calm, patient and resilient, with a genuine interest in SEN
  • Can build positive relationships and follow support plans consistently
  • Is comfortable with personal care and supporting sensory regulation
  • Can commit Monday-Friday, term time, from January 2026
  • Has the right to work in the UK and is willing to complete/hold an enhanced DBS
