Communication: Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other alternative communication methods is desirable
Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 tailored support to help the pupil access the curriculum and develop social skills

Implement strategies to support communication, behaviour, and sensory needs

Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals

Track and report progress in line with EHCP targets

Create a nurturing and positive environment to support the child's emotional wellbeing
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience supporting children with ASD, particularly non-verbal learners

Familiar with visual aids, sensory resources, and communication tools like PECS or Makaton

Calm, patient, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for SEN education

Able to commit to the full academic year
