A small and welcoming Church of England primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting ASAP to support a child in Year 1 with SEND.

The Role

Working in Year 1, you will be supporting a child with SEMH who has experienced Trauma. The child follows an individualised timetable with frequent movement breaks in between tasks. They can display challenging behaviour when dysregulated, but training will be given to manage this. The school are looking for someone reliable, that can commit to working five days to give the child consistency, and that has initiative/ability to use a range of strategies to engage and redirect children to positive choices. You need to be able to have clear expectations, but be positive in your approach.
