The role: SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH & Behaviour Focus
As a Behaviour-Focused SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
- Deliver targeted interventions to help students manage their emotions, build resilience, and improve social skills
- Implement tailored strategies to enable students to engage positively with learning
- Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral staff, and teaching team to deliver consistent support
- Act as a trusted adult, building positive relationships that foster progress both in and out of the classroom
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support
