SEND Teaching Assistant


We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people aged between 7 and 19 years   in specialised settings with their overall learning development at a well-established  SEND school in Uxbridge.

 Location: Uxbridge
 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
 Start Date: ASAP
 Salary: Paid to scale

About the Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEND or additional needs. Your role will be vital in helping pupils reach their full potential whilst creating a safe learning environment supporting their overall wellbeing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons
  • Supporting individual pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour
  • Preparing resources and classroom displays
  • Promoting a positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools (essential)
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Previous experience working with children (in a school or similar setting) is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children thrive
