SEN Teaching Assistant, Mainstream Primary School, Hammersmith

Location: Hammersmith, W14
Start Date: Immediate 
Contract: Full-time, Ongoing until July 2026
Salary: Up to £120 per day

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm

We are working with a wonderful mainstream primary school who are seeking a dedicated professional to support a Year 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis. The school is known for its supportive staff and welcoming environment. The school also benefits from excellent transport links, making it easily accessible from across London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with ASD, focusing on communication, engagement, and routine. There are no behaviour difficulties.
• Foster a calm and structured learning environment tailored to the pupil’s individual needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.
• Encourage independence and confidence through consistent, positive reinforcement.
• Maintain clear communication with staff and parents to support the child’s progress.

About You:

• Proven experience supporting children with ASD in a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practices.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in your approach.
• Able to commit to a full-time role with consistency and reliability.
