SEN Teaching Assistant - Wandsworth

Academics is proud to be working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Wandsworth, who are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from November.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural challenges. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you'll play a key role in helping every child feel supported, encouraged, and able to thrive.



Role Overview:

  • Location: Primary School, Wandsworth

  • Start Date: November

  • Contract: Full-time, Monday-Friday

  • Salary: 95-105 per day (depending on experience)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised 1:1 support for a nursery child with SEN, such as Autism and ADHD

  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies

  • Help create a nurturing, engaging, and supportive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and support pupil progress



About You:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)

  • A passionate and committed Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patient, proactive, and compassionate in your approach
